First puzzle review folks, bear with me. I thought this was a great post-vacation puzzle to come home to. It's been a lazy week with the 4th and beach time so it was nice to ease back into making my brain work. As for the theme, I loved it. Anything that combines food and fitness is fine by me. I don't fully get why DIDDLYSQUAT was the reveal as I don't know of any food with 'DIDDLY', but I'm not mad.
On Mondays my general strategy tends to be to start in the upper left and move out to the right and down until I get stuck (later in the week my strategy becomes 'look for rap clues where I know the answer and start there'). TOOL, EAVE, OAHU came quickly but my brain still struggles to think of TECH as a person and not industry. Speaking of TECH ... APOGEE looks like a misspelling ever since I've worked with Apigee (an API-mgmt company owned by Google). I still haven't gotten used to the look of TRURO yet so I'm glad I saw it in another puzzle two days ago (my thought was ... ah, it must be that odd looking town from the other day). My favorite clue was 25A, 'Shoulder exercise at a cutlery store?' (FORKLIFTS) for its similarity to r/fitness's favorite weight-loss exercise, FORK PUT-DOWNS.
Overall a nice, relaxing puzzle with a fun little theme, perfect for a Monday.
